#Caturday Katya Recommends

KATYAcKatya Graymalkin here.

Mom does her Friday Recommends, and I have one, too. While Mom was lollygagging around the internet this past week, she breezed past this site. She bookmarked it so she can go back to it, but I got stuck there. It’s called Messybeast, but the part I like best is called Moggycat’s Pages.

There are so many links on this page, all of them about cats! There are cat fairy stories from around the world, tales of cat rescues, fiction, poetry, and a super banner at the top that looks like a cave painting or chalk hill figure.

KatyaMoggieIt inspired me to make my own line drawing, with the help of The GIMP and picmonkey. I made my tail hooked like a question mark, because I always want to know things like, “Where’s my food?” “Why won’t you hold the door open for me indefinitely, so I can come and go whenever I want to?” “When do I get fed again?” “Where are you going to sit down, so I can be next to you?” and “What smells so good and may I have some?”

Mom has been staying with Granny all week, because one of Granny’s medications hasn’t been disagreeing with her. If you know my Granny, you don’t have any doubt of who is going to win THAT disagreement! The medicine says, “I’m going to make you feel bad.” Granny says, “Oh? Do you really think so?” When she says that, you know what she really means is, “Hit me with your best shot, sucka! Not gonna happen!”

I understand, but I miss Mom. She gives good chin-scritches, and nobody else sweet-talks me. I act like I don’t care, but I do. GET WELL SOON, GRANNY! Mom is always happy when you feel good, and sad when you feel bad. Purrs and head-rubs to both of you.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: What is the thing you miss most when your human isn’t around?

I had my suspicions of the metoclopramide HCL, and sure enough, the doctor said to discontinue it. It wasn’t helping with the nausea, and it was causing dizziness and confusion. Our next step against the nausea is an appointment with a nutritionist to evaluate the liquid nutrition Mom’s on. In January, she can start back on therapy to work on her swallowing. I’ll give her your good wishes, Jane!

Katya, you are a great cat-artist! I want to go read those things about cats, because I only know you! You are my favorite cat. I would like to get to know more cats!

Katya thanks you, Livvie. She doesn’t trust dogs, because she thinks they all want to play too rough, but you and Kessie have taught her to like dogs over the internet. It’s a start!
