The Sadness Of The Computer

the sadness of the computer
Bomp bomp bomp — annudder wun bites de dus’

So I was allowing Linux to do me an update to the new version, and THE POWER WENT OUT TO OUR HOUSE. Yes, in the middle of the download. Yes, it murdered my computer. So now I have to think about getting a new computer. I’ve only had that one for about ten years. Damn, they don’t make computers like they used to.

I love that computer. It has a floppy drive, a CD drive, a DVD drive, and a 14-in-1 card reader. It has four or five USB ports, and our DSL is hooked up through it. DAY-YUM.

~sigh~ Oh, if I could only turn back the clock. I would refuse that upgrade. But it does no good to bemoan the past.

Alas.

Well, pop over to Fatal Foodies, where I’m posting about a successful sammich.

Sorry for you. 10 years is a good long time for a laptop, but it’s sad to have it go down to something like this.

Thank you for understanding, Dan. But I know it’s just waiting for me on the other side of the RAMbow Bridge.

    So Sorry!

On the up side, all the dealers are marking down those laptops they have left over from Back to School!

I’m looking at a dead desktop, though. Got a laptop. Hmmm…. Do I even NEED it? Good question. Good question.
