Allen is a member of the Short Mystery Fiction Society, the Indiana Writers Connection, Murder Must Advertise, CozyWriters and of the Southern Indiana Writers Group, and is a regular contributor to the SIW's annual anthology. Sometimes she scrapes together enough pennies to treat herself to a membership in the Green River Writers, as well.
