Gluten-Free Chocolate Hippopotamus

Yes, it’s Friday again. I’ve been busy with Sweetie Pie’s surprise, so I haven’t been playing researching on the internet as much as I usually do. Still, here are some interesting places.

Gluten-FreeIf you or someone you cook for needs or wants to go gluten-free, there’s a cookbook you might want to consider. It’s COFFEE, TEA, AND GLUTEN-FREE by April Brown, she of Uncovered Myths: A Journey Through Societal Mythology. I plan to look into it, just because the recipes sound interesting. Do you know the Chocolate Cult? No? Well, allow me to introduce you. Everything you wanted to know about chocolate, like which pricey stuff is worth the expenditure. You’re welcome. WARNING: extreme graphic chocolate-porm. Porm is like that other word, which I’m not using because I don’t want to attract any more naughty spam-attempters than I already do.

My new detective boyfriend is Inspector Kubu, the creation of The Writing Team Known As Michael Stanley. I met half of the team at Magna cum Murder this year and had the pleasure of telling him how much I love the Kubu books and stories. Kubu isn’t the detective’s actual name; it’s his nickname. It means hippopotamus. He loves food and wine and opera as much as I do, although I don’t weigh quite 300 pounds. YET!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write about a chocolate hippopotamus.
